Fun With Different Painting Techniques

Written by mystyle on July 25, 2010 – 11:48 pm -

If you enjoy decorating your home, then most likely you have already tried doing the painting, too. Interestingly, there are several ways on how you can paint your walls, and while you think they might be boring or don’t need to learn about them, then, think again. The truth is learning about the different painting techniques can be as fun as decorating your little girl’s bedroom or decorating your sunroom.

One particular style of painting is called sponge painting where you simply put a base coating of solid color paint to cover a surface. Once dried, you can go on and use glaze on top and use a slightly dampened sponge to dab the surface using different angles. What’s nice about this is you can get your children to participate with you since this type can be done by any age group. In effect you are not just decorating your home, but also bonding with your kids. Apart from that, you can also paint your living rooms’ or bedrooms’ walls using rag rolling and stippling techniques which are very easy to learn and do.

With these techniques, painting walls or ceilings by yourself will no longer be as boring as you think it is!
