Making The Most Out Of Your Office Space

Written by myundu on September 10, 2010 – 4:05 am -

The way your office is decorated can contribute a lot in the way you handle and work with things and most especially can reduce your stress level. On the other hand, when your office is cluttered and disorganized your office space can serve more of an entrapment than a place of production. But with effort on your side, you can have a productive and hassle-free office space:

1. Your desk is the most used furniture in your office. Here, you are able to become creative and make money when you are working. To avoid boredom, stress or tiredness, arrange your desk in a way that would be most productive for you.

2. Put something on your walls. You can either place family pictures, artwork or something that is special to you. You can also place items on your shelves or at your desk table to make your office look great.

3. Remember to maximize your storage area. You may also need a copier and printer. Place these things on a spot where you can easily reach for them.

Floating At Work

Written by admin on February 17, 2010 – 4:01 pm -

Do you sometimes feel like you are floating at work – or not?

Well in this office you are always floating. Introducing the Floating Office – H2Office!

Accommodating 1 or 2 office workers the H2Office is a purpose-built floating office. Fitted out with a work space containing wood-like flooring, a large L-shaped desk and a shelving unit. There is also a sun deck for moments of contemplation and a L-shaped “break-out” carpeted area that features a pull-out bed for occasional all nighters.

Plus you can add kitchen appliances and for the eco-conscious solar panels. With pricing starting at GBP 59,950 plus VAT it might be a viable option for those pushed to find affordable office space.

But also consider the possibilities for waterfront retail – marina operators – to make use of water too shallow for most other boating purposes. And no doubt there are hundreds of ideas for ‘pop-up’ businesses.

Basque Health Department building in Bilbao

Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – 9:01 am -

It is in the final stages before inauguration and it looks fantastic: the Health Department building in Bilbao, that is set to displace the Guggenheim Museum as Bilbao’s main tourist attraction. Designer Juan Coll-Barreu and Daniel Gutiérrez Zarza say they didn’t want to build a direct opponent to the Guggenheim, they just solved the problem authorities put them up to. Its price, €12m has aroused controversy in Bilbao but I think it worth every eurocent :)

Walter Towers in Prague by Bjarke Ingels Group

Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – 8:46 am -

I love state of art architecture, and this really is an outstanding example. Bjarke Ingels Group designed this group of four buildings that looks like it’s made of four separate buildings but in reality it’s only one. This trick is needed to achieve the ‘W’ look while making sure there are no security risks that would immediately appear if the complex wouldn’t be balanced correctly. I’ve been to Prague a few times already, I would definitely visit again if this project finished!
