This is quite easy to do. You can buy second hand frames and fill these with your favorite pictures in magazines or you may as well prefer to create your own abstract art by adding dried flowers and shells or even ticket stubs, which reminds you of your last vacation. In fact, you can produce sophisticated designs while at the same time show your own personality to the things that you make. No one else will have exactly the same design as you do.

Furthermore, you can also recycle a glass to a pretty vase. Remove the labels and wash the glass first before painting or making your design of your choice. This home decor can look great in any kind of room.

Choosing The Lighter Shade Of Pale

Written by myundu on October 29, 2010 – 12:45 am -

When it comes to home decoration, picking out the right color often depends on what mood we want to achieve in the first place. For this reason many of us prefer a lighter shade of pale and softer colors for our rooms to create a relaxing atmosphere. Although our home is our refuge in general, it is equally important to also emphasize the bedroom and bathroom as they too are one of the common places we find relaxing.

There’s nothing more relaxing than taking a long bath at the end of the day. To achieve this mood, your bathroom should be decorated with relaxing items. For this reason, many people choose blue because it reminds us of fresh water. Paint the walls with soft, light blue blended with the same soft color for furnishings. Your tiles, carpet and shower curtain should also have the same color softness.

Alternatively, you can also opt for pale pink or peach color. These colors may not symbolize water but they remind us of the colors of seashells. These colors are also reminiscent of lightness and relaxation. You can have pink carpet and other accessories such as pink soap or pink fluffy towels for your bathroom.

This approach is used in most cases, but sometimes the safe and traditional approach also calls for excitement of colors.

The most effective and cheaper way to add color to any room is to apply a large number of small details such as the following suggestions:

2. Add a little imagination with bright colored lamps. Secondhand stores are excellent places to buy these kinds of lamps. Buying a unique lamp can be a good statement in the room and can spark any conversation later on with your guests.

3. Paint an accent wall. Yes, it’s a little more work, but painting is one of the cheapest ways to update a room.
