Belgium again – an old barn turned into contemporary home
Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – 9:57 am -Look what architect Rita Huys from Buro2, did with an old barn in the rolling hills of Central West Flanders, Belgium! The goal was to maintain the building’s physical and emotional connection to the surrounding landscape and to create an elegant interior with a rustic touch. The result speaks for itself, it looks amazing! I would move in without hesitation!

For the richest – iPhone Limited Diamond Deluxe Platin Edition
Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – 9:15 am -If you already have an iPhone and you don’t want to get rid of it because it has useful functions, looks great and easy to use (yes, I’m an iPhone fan) but you’re upset that all your Vertu friends despise your mobile, then the perfect solution just arrived: iPhone Limited Diamond Deluxe Platin Edition. For 7,000 euros (about $10,000), this edition of the iPhone rings in luxury with modesty. I have two problems immediately: it looks like the regular one other than the diamonds on the front there are no obvious differences (I would expect a gold (colored) plate or something..) and it costs around $10k but they couldn’t manage to take high resolution, convincing photos of it? Oh come on…

Basque Health Department building in Bilbao
Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – 9:01 am -It is in the final stages before inauguration and it looks fantastic: the Health Department building in Bilbao, that is set to displace the Guggenheim Museum as Bilbao’s main tourist attraction. Designer Juan Coll-Barreu and Daniel Gutiérrez Zarza say they didn’t want to build a direct opponent to the Guggenheim, they just solved the problem authorities put them up to. Its price, €12m has aroused controversy in Bilbao but I think it worth every eurocent

Walter Towers in Prague by Bjarke Ingels Group
Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – 8:46 am -I love state of art architecture, and this really is an outstanding example. Bjarke Ingels Group designed this group of four buildings that looks like it’s made of four separate buildings but in reality it’s only one. This trick is needed to achieve the ‘W’ look while making sure there are no security risks that would immediately appear if the complex wouldn’t be balanced correctly. I’ve been to Prague a few times already, I would definitely visit again if this project finished!
